I stayed pretty busy over the fall and this set of bookshelves was the biggest consumer of my time. I had built the fireplace mantel in the center a couple years ago for these nice folks, and now we finished up the wall with these built-ins. The color was a custom match to their wall paint (thanks Granitepaint.com) and the tops are stained red oak. One side houses a TV and both have plenty of storage for books or anything else.

I installed a laundry room hall tree today with lots of open shoe storage. After the customer paints and stains things, there are horizontal dividers that will go in the top and bottom areas to create 20 cubbies, plus some hooks to hang coats will be added.

I wrapped up a basement whiskey room today that includes solid walnut shelving as well as double barn doors that I built. I also trimmed the room out - something I don’t do a lot of, but this was a single room that didn’t require a lot of time crawling around on the floor. They’ve already filled the shelves full of whiskey bottles. Cheers!

I spent the early part of my Sunday installing this breakfast nook with a little additional storage. I need to go back and install door handles when they arrive still. This is Centurion 400 series paint in satin in Benjamin Moore’s White Dove. A fun build for a nice couple.

I wrapped up a huge project, for me, today in the blazing heat. 31 feet of garage cabinets including a large 9 drawer unit in the center, two tall wardrobe-style units and 2 multi door units. Ash wood tops and slat wall storage on the walls. My little shop isn’t made for projects this big but it feels great to make it happen.
