may be murky and overcast, but this nearly complete half moon variegation on the first leaf of the Albo is sure to raise the spirits. Gander closely to see what shapes up to be more coloration that will come out in the green half as it matures 👀

First day of the year, first , first.... ?!

Oh yes yall, we're starting the year off on a BANG! Took what we thought would be a quick trip to and walked away with some goooooooorgeous plants. First up, a chameleon (or variegated) ZZ and yall, the colors on this guy are gorgeous and the veins in the leaves are exquisite. Oh and the root p**n already pushing out the bottom of the nursery pot is just a really nice touch.

2nd up: a wishlist plant! The mutant manjula, rooted and looking oh so gorgeous. I'm enamored 😍

3rd and the creme de la creme: MONSTERA ALBOOOOOOOOO! There's no denying, Captain is beyond excited for this addition.

Last but certainly not least, ended our Yule vacation with numerous starts from her monstera siltepecana. Yall may remember Dali who perished on us - this is Dollie, more clones from the original the Dali came from 🤣🤣🐑

The happiest of Monstera Mondays to all you beautiful folx! While we've already been introduced to the gorgeous Ande (adansonii mint), we saved introducing Horchata for this morning. But of a yin and yang, one big ol new plant and one super tiny, but we've had success with our tissue culture Thai (canis minor, AKA as TC²) so starting to get braver!

The latest undertaking here at Trowel n Spade: tissue culture! This is a Thai Constellation monstera tissue culture, with super easy to use acclimation kit from . Canis Minor (lil brother to Canis Major, naturally) has been in the acclimation chamber for not even a day and is already starting to stand on its own.

Beedless to say, we've got one proud plant daddy celebrating Monstera Monday 💗
