Another one in the books! This Flower Mound pool had a stubborn crack under the skimmer plus a long crack along the bottom, we drained it, repaired both, pulled an old handrail the owner didn't want and patched the pool AND the deck where it used to sit, then refilled and rebalanced the water. Thinking about closing the pool for fall? In North Texas, mostly don't. Our winters are mild enough that running the pump a few hours a day keeps the water in better shape than covering it and hoping. What you should do before it cools off: get the water balanced now, check your freeze protection works before you need it in December, and if your equipment limped through the summer, fall is the best time to fix it. September in DFW is leak-finding season. Water still evaporates fast in the heat, so a dropping water level doesn't always mean a leak. Quick test: set a bucket of water on the top step, mark both levels, wait 24 hours. If the pool dropped more than the bucket, call us.
