Got this Little Free Library standing again yesterday.

The customer told me it was personal to her because it had been dedicated to her mom. The door was missing, the post had rotted out, and it had fallen over.

I got it cleaned up, repaired, and back in service.

Small repair, but a good one.

Not every remodel has dramatic “before” photos — but this bunk house had plenty going on behind the scenes.

The floor had a large hole where an old wood stove used to sit. The ceiling had a hole from the stove pipe. The back wall was unfinished, with uneven concrete and a 6-inch bump-out that needed to be worked around.

We repaired the floor and ceiling, cleaned up the back wall, installed new flooring, added pine tongue-and-groove walls and ceiling, trimmed everything out, and built a custom bunk bed to finish the space.

Now it’s clean, warm, usable, and ready for guests.

This wasn’t just an old deck.

The framing and deck boards were rotting, and raccoons had started using a hole underneath to access the cabin.

We tore out the failing entry, rebuilt the landing and steps, closed off the problem area, and added a cleaner board-and-batten exterior finish.

A small entry repair can turn into a big problem when rot and animals get involved.

If your deck, steps, or entry area feels soft, saggy, or open underneath, it’s worth getting it looked at before it gets worse.

This basement window was left exposed and incomplete by the previous contractor — including the concrete surround that needed to be fully redone.
We sealed it properly, installed clean trim, and finished the concrete so it looks intentional and built to last.
