Position: Staff Carpenter
Responsibilities / Requirements
Technical Skills –
• Performs individual and independent carpentry trade-work / complete portions of general Interior Carpentry scopes related to final product on high-end residential remodel and new construction projects.
• Install and construct using materials and specifications described by construction plans or customer expectations – these will be defined and approved before performed.
• Properly lift, carry, push and move materials, ensuring safety at all times.
• Calculate material use effectively and ensure minimal product waste.
• Utilize efficient methods when milling and installing high end trim features.
• Utilize general mathematics to solve problems and perform technical layout work.
Managerial Skills -
• Work efficiently to ensure expected project timelines are met – This will be coordinated with Management Staff and Site Forman.
• Plan and strategize to ensure efficiency while upholding high standards for quality
• Read blue prints, designs, specifications, and work with management to define scopes of work prior to beginning a project
• Troubleshoot installation issues and work to find the best solution to ensure the highest quality work
• Take personal responsibility for individual craftsmanship and quality of product
• Determine layout and placement of all building materials and components
Personal Skills / Communication:
• Communicate details with clients, project managers, suppliers and teammates
• Communicate and cohesively work with other subcontractors on-site
• Work with teammates to create efficient installation strategies and maintain positive working relationships
• Be self-motivated, be goal oriented, be a team player. We all rely on each other to keep this company running Optimally.
• Share skills and experience to help make those around you gain experience and skills that will help them to be more efficient.
Tooling:
• Must have the basic tools of the trade: Well equipped tool bags, levels, hand tools, drill / driver set, skill saw, table saw, chop saw, compressor, assorted trim nail guns.
Clerical Requirements:
• Must have valid CO Drivers License and reliable transportation to and from job sites.
• Must hold valid company name with CO Dept. of Labor (DBA, Sole Prop, LLC, etc.)
• Must have valid General Liability Insurance, (We can help you obtain if you don’t currently carry)
