Suncoast Epoxy Floors Residential floor coating done right. I’m a husband and a father of three, and my family and I moved to Fort Myers, FL about six months ago.

Hi, I’m Tom, the owner and lead installer behind this company — and I believe the floor beneath your feet matters more than most people realize. By profession, I’m an educator with a master’s degree in education, and I currently teach locally. I’ve also served as a

school principal, so leadership, communication, and accountability have always been central to my work. While education is my calling, I intentionally stepped away from the school setting to learn the concrete coatings industry from the ground up. Before moving to Florida, I spent 6 years in Michigan working for a large, successful industrial flooring company, where I trained, installed, and primarily handled sales and project management. During that time, I became deeply familiar with coatings of all kinds — from decorative residential systems to high-performance industrial and electrostatic dissipative (ESD) coatings. That experience shapes how I approach every project today. I still teach, which makes me a bit of a weekend warrior when it comes to floor coatings — but that’s exactly why I never cut corners. I take the time to properly prepare every surface, use top-tier products, and install floors the right way. I also maintain strong relationships with trusted coating suppliers and value clear, honest communication with homeowners. Crack repair - sometimes saw cuts don’t relieve tension on a concrete slab. Random cracking can happen for a variety of reasons, but can be fixed quite easily. We hard patch random cracks and leave saw cuts open. Once the coating is laid, the cracking will no longer be visible.
