It may be an absolute furnace outside but the work must go on! These past few weeks have been brutal when it comes to watering and feeding the garden. I keep saying this is where the true Texans show UP..we hot but we also got s**t to do!
My self care includes..staying hydrated, enjoying an ice foot soak when there is time and just riding the Heat wave..it's almost over. I promise.
Now when I'm not in the garden these days, I'm in the Apothecary..we are drying herbs, making teas, bottling the oils and going thru a massive restock!! The shelves are filling up for the new Season ahead.

Texas Heat does not play..but the determination to stay in the Game is real. The plants need Us to stay on it! Biggest tip of all....load your Garden up with more soil and compost right now!! This will cool the roots and hold moisture and make watering so much more long lasting!
Plants are Medicine. Soil is Medicine.

There is a story behind these minerals that goes back to the Creation story of the Diné.
The story of Monster Slayer and the Boy Who Runs with Water. Their journey for weapons to destroy the Monsters who had descended into their homes and clans and brought envy, greed, famine...the fiercest of them all was Yé'iitsoh, who was covered in flint armor. Monster Slayer shot him with the Lightning bolt arrow and he exploded..his black blood created reservoirs of volcanic pockets thru the land. This blood of Yé'iitsoh, IS the Sacred Minerals we use to bring life into our soils and into the pristine skin care products of Pablo's Lotus Apothecary.
