the season of unfurling. there’s something especially charming about catching a new leaf somewhere in the middle — not quite open, still soft + pale, slowly finding its way toward the light.

our space is full of these little signs of growth. and sometimes the best part is simply noticing them.

the makings of some very happy houseplants….

we seriously believe in living with plants. that’s why we do what we do. making our spaces feel more lived in, more considered, more alive.

and we must say, there’s something about the learning and tending, too. moving things around until they find just the right spot and perfect amount of light. noticing the first sign of new growth. learning what a plant likes and, sometimes, what it doesn’t. choosing just the right pot and soil. and somehow, there’s always room for one more.

rudbeckia (commonly known as black-eyed susan) is one of those plants that seems to know exactly when the garden needs it most. blooming strong as summer starts giving way to fall, feeding pollinators + carrying plenty of color into the next season.

a little study in what’s blooming around here. as we prep for fall (pumpkins incoming), we’re still stopping to notice some of our favorite blooms in all their late-summer glory.
