One of our favorites on the farm. So beneficial to bees and quite beautiful in autumn. Have you heard of sourwood honey? It comes from the nectar of this tree’s flower. This tree grows in the Appalachian Mountains of North Georgia, North Carolina, and parts of Tennessee.

Oxydendrum arboreum, or Sourwood, is a deciduous small tree that may grow 20 to 30 feet tall and a trunk 8 to 12 inches in diameter.
