J&S Landscaping and Design is a full service, design, create / build landscaping company. We have provided exceptional service to the Triangle area and various surrounding counties since 1999. We specialize in stone masonry, landscaping, design, grading and drainage solutions. Our company devotes exceptional attention to detail and quality to efficiently handle every job we take on, no matter how

Plan to cut back Liriope and ornamental grasses between now and the middle of February. It is also a great time to selectively prune trees, cut back overgrown evergreens and clean up messy foliage from perennial die back. This way the landscape will be ready for a fresh layer of mulch or pine straw.

This is last minute but with the incredibly low temps tonight, some plants need a bit of extra protection. Loropetalums (especially newly installed), Agave, Palms, Rosemary, Fatsia, and Gardenias are some examples. Old blankets, sheets, burlap will work...just no plastic directly on foliage.
