We are hiring motivated individuals to join our team at Anderson Outdoor Incorporated.

We are a family-owned design-build company in Fredericksburg. We build outdoor spaces across the Texas Hill Country - landscape, hardscape, irrigation, and outdoor construction - with our own crews, from the first drawing to the last stone set.

We are growing, and there is room here to move up. Show up on time, take pride in what you finish, and want to learn a trade rather than just take a job, and we will teach you the rest.

Positions are open in the field, in the yard, and in our office. We are now accepting applications.

Our teams have been busy this year!

We built this tank from bare ground, just over half an acre, then pointed every drop of water on the property at it. The rainwater collection overflow runs 580 feet of 8 inch pipe straight in. French drains keep pressure off the limestone walls we built. NDS basins and a channel drain catch the rest.

One property. One water plan. Every drop accounted for.

Stormwater drainage swale on one of our recurring maintained accounts.

Ranch, commercial, and residential. Full property maintenance built around what the property actually needs, not a package pulled off a shelf.

On this one the John Deere 335P compact track loader running an RC72B rotary cutter took the length of the channel and the heavy growth. The S**g Turf Tiger came behind it for the tight areas and the side slopes where the track loader is too much machine.

Professional equipment matched to the work is what gets a job like this done right and done efficiently. The crew moved through it clean and made quick work of it.

Some projects you finish. This one we keep getting invited back to.

Stonewater Crossing has been a multiphase build for us, added to in stages over the years for a client who kept finding the next thing the property was asking for. Ponds, streams, bridges, custom-welded steel, masonry, native planting, lighting, and drainage.

The water feature is the heart of it, and it is genuinely breathtaking. Water moving over set stone, boulders you can see straight through clear water, a bridge you cross on the way to the house. Photographs get you about halfway there.

The best part is the people. These are absolutely amazing clients, and getting to come back to their property year after year is the kind of relationship this company is built on. This one is a favorite around here.

Sandy Creek Modern.

A new house in the Texas Hill Country, Custom from the design forward — every piece of it built for this property.

We built the ground. Grading and resloping across the site. Limestone retaining walls and terracing. Concrete walkways and patios. Boulders placed by excavator. Artificial turf, deer fencing, ranch rail, ornamental iron and automatic gates. Underneath all of it, rock — the kind that turns every tree pit and every trench into its own excavation.

The recessed fire pit area out back is where the real work is.

A sunken patio is a bathtub if you get it wrong. So the drainage went in first — an extensive system run underneath the entire patio before a single stone was set. Then the fire pit itself, set in the middle, with a Breeo smokeless insert the owners can cook live fire on. Wrapping it, a custom-welded floating bench finished in Trex.

Out front, a second fire feature — a gas fire pit from Montana Fire Pits.

Landscape lighting throughout, and a custom irrigation system on a Hunter Hydrawise controller with a flow meter watching every zone, so a broken line gets caught before it becomes a washout.

The house reads like it grew out of the site — not like it landed on it.

Moonridge Ranch.

A limestone compound on a Hill Country ridge, with some of the most amazing views.

We built the ground. Dry-stacked limestone boulder walls to hold the grade and terrace the slope. A decomposed granite courtyard running through it. Corten steel planters. Rock-lined dry creeks and a swale to carry stormwater across the property instead of through it.

The stone is the part you see. Behind every course is geotextile fabric, geogrid reinforcement, drain rock and compacted lifts, with subsurface drainage pulling water out before it ever loads the wall. None of that shows in a photograph. It's the only reason the stone is still exactly where we set it.

The planting is built for this ridge — Texas Sage, Salvia Greggii, Lantana, Lindheimer grass, Yucca, Mountain Laurel, Mexican Sycamore. It runs on a Hunter Hydrawise controller off well water, filtered at the source so grit never reaches an emitter.

A few years back, we landscaped the main house on this property. Earlier this year, we came back to fully landscape the new casita addition. And these shots? Taken by our maintenance crew this week, right after they wrapped service.

Across both homes we've done custom steel work, custom fencing, Texas native plantings, landscape lighting, full irrigation, and sod and seeding — a complete outdoor build. Now our maintenance program keeps it looking exactly like this year-round, including full mowing with our specialty Walker mower and its grass-handling system that vacuums the formal lawns for a clean, even finish.

That upkeep is everything out here. Staying on top of these lawns is what carries them through brutal Texas summers and hard winters.

Both the main house and the new casita were built by our partner and good freinds, Fleener Building Co — we're proud to handle the full outdoor build and ongoing care.

The best compliment a client can give? Asking us to come back.

We started on this Hill Country property about a year and a half ago, and we just wrapped another phase. Along the way we've built split-rail fencing with wire to keep the dogs safe, an outdoor kitchen and fire pit for the evenings, a paver walkway, and layers of new landscaping to tie it all together.

And we don't just build it and leave — this property is on one of our maintenance programs, so our crew keeps the landscape in its best shape season after season.
