I’m wrapping up tomato season, but this tomato already has plans for next year! Those little curly sprouts are the seeds growing right inside the tomato—a process called vivipary.

Have you ever cut open a tomato and found this? Tell me in the comments!

“If the cows are lying down, rain is coming!” Have you heard that one before?

This Farm Myth Friday, we’re talking about an old farm belief. Cows lie down to rest and chew their cud, too—so a pasture full of lounging cows isn’t a reliable weather forecast!

Did your family ever use the cows to predict rain? Tell me in the comments!

But we want YOUR questions!

Ever wondered which animal is the biggest troublemaker? Why we started farming? Or what life on 30 acres is really like?

Drop your questions in the comments!

Let’s see if our C-Ewe Crew can stump us!

Good morning from C-Ewe Farmstead!

While most of the world is waking up, the moon is still putting on a show over the farm!

Are you an early riser who gets to enjoy mornings like this, or would you rather be sleeping?

This week’s Animal of the Week is our sweet Cinderella!

At 11 months old, Pumpkin’s baby girl from last year is getting ready for a big adventure—moving to her new farm!

As much as we’d love to keep her, her daddy is still our herd bull, so she’ll be joining a new herd. That’s one of the bittersweet parts of raising animals: you get attached, even when you know they won’t all stay.

Cinderella is the sweetest girl, and we’re sure going to miss seeing that face at chore time. For now, we’re enjoying our time with her before she heads off to her next chapter!

Putting up homemade pizza sauce for future pizza nights! There’s something so satisfying about seeing those jars lined up after a day of canning.
