Answering a few of the questions we hear most! 👇 If you've been thinking about adding a transom, sidelite, or French door to your home, here's what you should know:

Q: Can transoms be custom sized?
Yes — every piece we make is built to your exact opening dimensions, not a standard size.

Q: Do you ship nationwide?
We do! Every order is carefully crated and shipped to your door, wherever you are in the US or Canada.

Q: How long does an order take?
Since each piece is handcrafted to order, lead times vary by product and current volume — reach out and we're happy to give you a specific estimate for your project.

Q: What glass options are available?
From clear glass for maximum light to frosted/obscure glass for privacy (great for bathrooms!), we offer a range of options depending on the look and function you need.

Q: Can I install this myself, or do I need a contractor?
Yes! If you are a Do-it-yourselfer, we have installation videos on our website and YouTube channel to walk you through every step of the way. If you have a more complicated project, however, we do recommend hiring a professional.

Q: What's the difference between a transom, sidelite, and French door?
Here's a quick breakdown: a transom sits above a door or window, a sidelite sits beside a door, and together with a French door they can be combined for a full custom entryway.

From dining room to dedicated home office.

This room was completely reinvented with the addition of a French door, two sidelights, and a transom window above.

The new glass enclosure creates a quiet, functional workspace while still allowing natural light to flow between rooms. It gives the office the privacy it needs without making the space feel closed off or disconnected from the rest of the home.

A great example of how the right combination of doors, sidelights, and a transom can completely transform the way a room looks and functions.

Every so often, one of our customers asks us to build something completely unique. This project marks two firsts for us: the first time we’ve ever built this design and the first time we’ve worked with Kebony.

Kebony is a premium modified wood commonly used for applications such as decking and cladding. Its millwork-grade lumber can also be machined into custom pieces like this transom window.
