Home service companies/small business owners of Birmingham, don’t get scammed this holiday season! I recently received a scam text and while I’ve seen it before it could easily convince someone else. Here are some common red flags to look out for:
🚩 Irregular speech pattern
🚩 Provided address is for sale or abandoned/empty
🚩 “Client” is out of town
🚩 Job seems too good to be true (client is quick to try to send a large payment)
🚩 Client will not speak on the phone
🚩 Abnormal area code
While I know legitimate clients can often mark one or two of these boxes, scammers will typically mark them all. Remember to never accept any large form of payment (especially check or electronic transfer) without meeting your client in person!

I hear “I just mulch them with my mower” often when speaking about leaf removal. Unfortunately that’s not always a safe option! A fire was started under this mower when a clump of leaves couldn’t escape the deck. Thankfully everyone was safe, but the homeowner lost their equipment and will need a lot of landscaping repair!

Our leaf removal service includes collecting and bagging for city removal or we will remove it at a cost. We also do offer leaf mulching in a safe and controlled manner!
