Due to strong winds over the past couple of days, a telephone pole with structural rot failed at its base, resulting in a power outage at the residence. We responded promptly and restored power immediately. The temporary post braces will be removed once permanent repairs are made.

A GOOD HOME HAS BEEN FOUND!

This morning I started a new project at a house that had significant fire damage. As soon as I walked in I could hear a cat meowing in the basement. This cat was locked in a filthy cage. Her water had spilled into her food, both were frozen solid. The cage also had mounds of f***s as well as frozen urine. Going off the look of the basement it appears a squatter was staying there and left the cat.
Please help me find a safe and living home for her!

The photos below show receptacles I removed from a wall where space heaters were used to heat the home. Space heaters are linked to approximately 21,000 residential fires each year. If you use a space heater, it should be plugged into a receptacle on a dedicated 20 amp circuit not a general-purpose outlet. If you’re considering using space heaters, please contact HXC Electric to discuss installing dedicated circuits for safe operation.

We are HXC Electric meet with the customer to go over where all the low voltage data lines need to be located and after we pull all the data communication lines Barry Arendt who is the owner of ThinkEz It comes in with his expert team to make all connections and sets up the data com equipment as needed by the customer.

I have worked with other IT companies and ThinkEz IT is by far the most knowledgeable and reliable company I have worked with. I can not say enough good things about them.

Early this morning I received a text message from a farmer who raises beef cattle. He told me he had lost power to his barn where he keeps his freezers that were full of beef. I was able to rearrange today’s schedule so that we could get out there right away to help him out. We got right to work and had the electricity hooked back up to the barn in a few hours.
We’re never too busy for emergency service calls. We are available 24 hours a day 7 days a week 365 days a year.

Some before and after pictures of some work attic work we did last week.
I received a phone call from a contractor about some electric work that was done incorrectly. There were open splices all through the attic both on top and buried under insulation. We were happy to come out to correct all electrical code violations and safety terminate all open splices in junction boxes.

Yes we have 24 hour emergency service for any emergency big or small. Today we received a phone call about a service that needed repaired due to a car
hitting a telephone. We keep a well stocked shop for a majority of needs and we were able to come out and make the necessary repairs.

Early this morning I received a phone call from a customer who lost power to half of her house. I was told by the homeowner that an electrician had come out the evening prior to troubleshoot the issue. You can see where the lug on the load side is so rusted that electricity could not pass through to the panel. The estimate she received to replace the 100 amp meter, panel, SEU , and install new ground rods was astronomical. We were able to replace her whole service and upgrade to 200 amps while still saving the homeowner more than $6,000.
I encourage everyone to always get a 2nd estimate. It’s unfortunate but there are those who will take advantage of homeowners.

Here’s a few pictures of a house we rewired. Removing old k**b and tube wiring can be difficult, especially if you want to minimize the amount of wire mold present in your home. We found in this situation the best way was to carefully remove the baseboard trim, which allowed us access to all the walls so we could rewire the house while cutting very few holes in the old horse hair and plaster walls.

A few before and after pictures of a new panel we installed. We also built the wall for the new panel so we could move it away from the gas and water lines that were directly in front and over head of the old service. Water had been leaking into the old panel for quite some time and the main was heating up. I’m glad we were able to help this family out and make their house a little safer. Thank you!

Pictures of a quick service I got this afternoon. A sump pump had stopped working which ended up flooding a basement in town. We got it fixed right away and the basement now has no standing water. Thank you to Front Runner Construction for the recommendations
