Swapped out this older dishwasher for a stainless Whirlpool, and it instantly gave the kitchen a cleaner, more updated look. 🧼🏡

Deep clean on three mini splits for a new client. 🧼❄️

These units were overdue for some Good Grandson attention. Filters, coils, covers, and buildup all got cleaned out so the system can breathe better and run cleaner.

We also got the client set up on a 6-month maintenance plan. Normally, I recommend bi-monthly or quarterly service depending on use, but since they spend about half the year on the East Coast, every 6 months made the most sense.

Mini splits are awesome… until they start quietly collecting dust like it’s their side hustle. 😅

Regular cleaning helps with:

Getting ready for the Gig Harbor Maritime Gig Parade! ⚓️🇺🇸

Spent some time this morning putting together Good Grandson swag bags filled with a magnet, pen, and a business card for a friend. 🛠️💚

I’m especially grateful to the team Home Instead for supporting my small business and allowing me to have these available at their booth during the parade.

For those who may not know, Home Instead provides personalized in-home care services that help older adults remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes. From companionship and transportation to meal preparation, light housekeeping, personal care, and medication reminders, they’re making a real difference for local families every day.

This is exactly why I love building relationships with organizations that share a similar mission. Too small to call a handyman? Not for me. 💪🏡

This client needed help with some of those household tasks that are easy to put off, or simply aren't safe to do alone. I wiped down walls and cabinets, cleaned above the kitchen cabinets, detailed the kitchen vent, cleaned tall mirrors, and took care of other hard-to-reach areas throughout the home. 🧽✨

Simple tasks? Yes.

Worth a senior climbing a ladder for? Absolutely not.

One of my goals for the future is to add a housekeeping division to The Good Grandson. Many seniors and busy families don't need major repairs, they just need a helping hand with the everyday tasks that keep a home clean, safe, and comfortable. This job felt like a great first step toward that vision. 😊
