50-point cooling performance check
Photo documentation, record model/serial and age

Here we are in San Tan Valley AZ and Matthew is repairing a 13 year old Ac system. Matthew has been in the trades now for about for 4 months and is learning important diagnostic skills, at this home he found a bad dual run capacitor that was keeping the system from cooling and he also replaced the compressor contactor due to a heavy amount of burning and pitting on the contact points.

Here’s a call we get sometimes “our unit won’t shut off”. Usually that means there’s a short in the units wiring or an electrical component, in this case the compressor contactor welded itself shut, when this happens, it’s usually an indicator that the unit has been working very hard and possibly a component is failing. Regular maintenance checks are important to catch things like this before they happen and become a bigger problem and our system saver maintenance program also comes in handy when it’s time to replace your unit.
