🌞🌳👨🏫As temperatures climb to the upper 90’s fertilizing your tree with the wrong fertilizer can cause more problems than you think. If your tree has a nutrient deficiency then it is good to fertilize to help the deficiencies. Otherwise over fertilizing in the high heat can cause health decline. A light fertilizer is best if any at all.
I recommend Kellogg Amend👌
Home Depot $9-$10 for a 2 cubic foot bag weighing about 40 lbs. 1 bag small tree- 2 bags a medium tree- 3 bags for a very large tree.
😎🪭One of the best things to do is amend the soil and cool the soil around your trees. Add fertility to the soil thru already decomposed organic matter, slow realize natural nutrients, mix of diary and poultry manure.
🏜️To help with our bad compacted soil it contains natural gypsum that is approved for organic gardening. Sodium makes clay particles repel each other and stay dispersed. This makes tight compacted, poorly drained soil. Gypsum supplies calcium which replaces the sodium causing the dirt to clump together in large aggregates. Causing more and larger air pockets which improves drainage and root pe*******on. This also allows the fertility to that soil thus raising you fertility zone in your soil. It’s a win win win kinda situation.
🧐Spread it 2 inches thick a few inches away from the trunk to the drip line of the tree. This is the absorbing root zone of the tree. If your soil needed amending then it’s very possible your absorbing root zone is much shorter. No worries , this fixes that👍 -Do not like it on the trunk to make a trunk volcano with it. This is bad for the trunk to stay moist.
This will help hold the water in place with little to no runoff unless you are flood irrigation watering.
🌊With flood irrigation: Apply after the water subsides below the soil line just as it is drying. Apply 1 inch thick on top of the soil a few inches from the trunk to the drip line of the tree.
😁Your welcome👍
Did my best to not sound AI🤙
Not a Kellogg salesman just someone who likes seeing healthy trees.
