I have been so busy, but today was able to whip my tallow up. This was my first time to render lard and create tallow, add a carrier oil and essential oil, and create these beautiful whipped tallows.
I did keep some that was rendered down plain to use on my cast iron, wooden cutting board, and to cook with.

Lavender whipped tallow

Tranquility essential oil mix whipped tallow

Calming Sleep essential oil mix whipped tallow

I used coconut oil as the carrier oil. I think they are beautiful and they are so soft!

Whats been sitting on your counters to thaw out to cook for Sunday supper?

I have some cutlets - from our processed Kune Kune and some bacon end pieces from his as well.

I’m going to put some of the bacon end pieces in a pot of beans to go with the cutlets and cook some fried potatoes canned from my garden then make a side salad. 🤗

It’s Friday, so the weekend is right around the corner. What do you have planned this weekend?

Maybe buying 5 or 10 more chickens that eh.. you don’t really need?

Buying some ornamental plants knowing you kill ivy, but can grow a heck of a veggie garden?

Stopping at the thrift store, knowing you are now a few months late on your Spring clutter clean out, but hey, whats wrong with a new project that you just know will look just like it did on Pinterest?
