I do value Yelp or at least certain aspects of it, however, withholding honest reviews and opinions of certain customers I believe it is reviewerism (yes I made that word up). Yelp only displays reviews from people who use Yelp frequently, well I understand that those Yelp frequent users have probably used Yelp more frequently to find nearby service providers or services, I do not believe the review is any more valuable then the next. They currently state that more reviews are accepted and displayed then hidden. I must be the exception to the rule. I currently have 62 five star reviews hidden from customers because Yelp has decided to suppress certain opinions and sensor what information customers can see. I believe a platform like this has no right picking and choosing who's review is displayed. There is a fine line with censorship that I believe we have crossed in America and corporations like this that have adapted this way of operating are trying to control other people's decisions. I get it you don't have to use Yelp, but they should let all of their customer reviews be displayed. Unless they truly don't value certain people opinions?
