Architecture, or an optical illusion?

“Zodchestvo” House — An Optical Dystopia is a conceptual residential project exploring how perspective can transform the way we perceive architectural space.

Created in 2010 for the CIS Young Architects Contest at Zodchestvo Festival, the project uses distorted volumes, perspective-based compositions and optical effects throughout both its exterior and interiors. From a specific viewpoint, the exterior even reveals the flat image of the Zodchestvo Festival logo.

The project was later nominated for the World Architecture Festival 2011 in the Houses category, with its presentation taking place in Barcelona.

A house designed not only to be inhabited, but to challenge perception.

As student housing shortages continue to challenge cities across Europe, finding smarter ways to use existing spaces has never been more important.

One promising solution lies right above our heads: underutilized attic spaces. By converting these areas into student housing, cities can create much-needed accommodation without expanding urban footprints or investing in large-scale new developments.

What happens when a new, small building enters a conversation with a modernist icon?

Set next to Gropius House, this Bauhaus-inspired public bathroom reinterprets classic principles through a contemporary lens. A clean cubic form, glass blocks, and a carefully chosen color palette create a balance between presence and subtlety.

Beyond form, the project is about people – accessibility, clarity, and comfort. Even color becomes functional, supporting visibility and easing the experience for users with visual impairments.

We’re excited to share our latest project – the Kids Cultural & Entertainment Center in Yerevan ✨

Part of the North Axis development, this project is designed as a space where kids and families can play, explore, and connect.

From interactive VR zones to creative spaces, retail areas, and an open-air amphitheater, the center brings together entertainment and culture in one place – all integrated into the surrounding park 🌿

The architecture is soft and open, blending into the landscape while creating shaded areas and vibrant public spaces that can be used all year round.

A major step forward for our North Axis Project in Arabkir.

The parametric dome is now under construction – bringing light, structure, and a completely new atmosphere to the space. What started as a design idea is becoming a built reality.
