~A Little Bit More of Our History~

We spent our first anniversary on that bridge. My husband placed a blindfold over my eyes, and we drove for what seemed like forever! After finally coming to a stop, he took off my blindfold. It was then I saw the wildflowers, the bridge covered in lights and a table set up with my favorite dinner, YES!!!! TACO's!!! And to top it all off, he had a friend of ours there to take pictures!!! After dinner we danced & then decided to Vandalize....I mean carve our initials & our wedding date into the wooden floor!!! It was one of the best nights ever. I will cherish the memory for as long as I live.

~Promise, Our Story is almost over~

Just a few months after, the bridge was torn down, moved over into a field and they rebuilt a new one. While it broke my heart to hear they were going to be replacing the bridge I decided to contact the person in charge. I WANTED THAT FLOOR WE VANDALIZED!!! The people in charge had heard of a couple (us) that were married there, and while they couldn't offer us the old wooden piece of floor, they did meet with us and give us a peice of the metal that was broken off during the construction. I was ....i promise the story is almost over....overjoyed to get it. It's a little paper weight now that sits on my desk.

Over the years, before and after marriage, we talked about our dreams of making our "Hobbies" into something more. And little by little our dreams have been getting closer & closer to becoming true. As a team, we both have the idea's, he builds, I instruct on how to do it right (OH, Did I say that out loud?)...again, just kidding!!! Anyway, I do enjoy sanding, painting & staining and help build as well. For me it is relaxing believe it or not!
