Over the past season, our Adopt-a-Hive program through Sweet Wings and Stings has been helping local farmers, landowners, and new beekeepers across the Lowcountry create healthier land, stronger pollination, and thriving hives.

From gardens exploding with blooms 🌻

To better pollination for crops 🍉

To helping beginner beekeepers learn without the stress of “doing it all alone” 🐝

…we’ve watched this thing grow into something bigger than honey.

Our bees are now helping support: • Local farms

Pick 1 to help .. if you don't want to do all 3!!

If you don't want to become a BeeKeeper.. Adopt a Hive and a BeeKeeper will monitor it for you!
If you don't want Beez.. Buy local fruit and vegetables.. and Buy Honey from your local beekeepers or support a Beez by allowing a BeeKeeper to set up small Bee yards on land!
If you don't want to be a farmer or you don't have land.. Help support your local Beekeepers by buying Honey as well as Buying local fruits and vegetables straight from the farmers!!

Farmers, if you want pollination for your seasonal crop production.. reach out to the local Beekeepers!

Every 3 bites of food... A bee 🐝 had to pollinate that fruit or vegetable.

We just came back from helping out!! Our hearts and prayers go out to this community around Western North Carolina! They need our support... Seeing with our eyes reminds me of Hugo and how bad we were down here!! It will take years to get back what they lost property wise. They will never get over who they lost..

Western North Carolina needs long term help! 1000's of homes are lost..
Schools are hospitals and emergency supplies stations..
Fire Departments and Volunteer Fire Departments are being made into search and recovery centers..

Supplies are being delivered as fast as possible..
Food and Supplies are being handed out but the organization of it is crazy and some seem out of control... However once the aid supplies are off loaded.. the sorting process is slow.. but once the organization filters the products out we are packing cars and trucks with aid and sending the next up as fast as humanly possible!!

If you want to help..
Short term
Find a community to support locally with financial assistance! (Straight to the need)
It's ok to send supplies!
If you are supplying man power..
Pack what you need and then some..
It's cold at night be prepared..
Don't overwork yourself and become part of the issue..
Hydrate often..
There is still no local fuel in some towns, bring your own!! (Refill round trip could be 80 miles)

Long Term
Western North Carolina will need funds!! (There are rumors that FEMA will not have enough money to help everyone!)
This will take years to upgrade from the old and rebuild to the New!!
Many families lost everything.. home, pets, animals, barns, and in many cases the land is devastated and covered with mud and debris. To dig, clean, and start to rebuild... YEARS!!!

My family prayers 🙏 are with everyone up there! 🙏 What we saw made our heart sad.

Listening to the stories of so many that did lose everything made me tear up many times..

(1 story especially hurt...
Father heard the river over flowing is bank and was head towards his small homestead him and his wife built with their bare hands out of the mountain. His wife stated, he quick filled the car with kids and her and told her drive as fast as possible down the 3 miles Rd to higher ground. He would load the truck with the family's pets and be up there in 5mins. 5 kids and mom raced to the rendezvous spot. They never saw headlights...)

I met this Grieving Woman as I filled her car with supplies. I cried with her and hugged her tightly as she cranked that Small Kia up. She kissed my cheek and said something that I will never forget...

It must have been in God's Plan!!! It could have been all of us .. my husband saved us!

She gently pushed me out the window of the car and drove off.

I was crushed and had to take a personal moment to myself and walk to my car! I couldn't stop the flow of tears thinking how brave she has to be .. how hurt she must be.... ..

🙏 If any prayer warriors made it to this part of this post... Please send them to the people of Western North Carolina!! 🙏
