I’ll be at the Ely Blueberry Art Festival again this year. Last year, my first at this great festival, I won first place in the fine art category. I wonder if I can do it again?

This will be my first time attending this event as an exhibiting artist. We’ve gone for years as attendees and very much enjoyed it. I will be in booth 4 this year so if you’re up north on vacation (and you should be, it’s so awesome up here this time of year) make a day of it and come to the sweet little lake town of Longville. I’d love to see you!

It was a beautiful weekend to sell some art! I spent two days in lovely Excelsior, MN at the Art on the Lake Festival. I was so happy to see two of my pieces go to new homes. I was only able to capture a photo with one of the collectors.

I also very much enjoyed all the conversations with old and new friends alike. And, as always, a huge shout out to my amazing husband Scott who not only worked the entire week before making frames for my paintings, but also doing all the driving and helping set up and take down. He’s a trooper. Two of my kids were with me to help, too. I’m blessed.

I am working like mad to get everything ready for this great festival, my first of the year and my first in the Twin Cities area. I'm so looking forward to meeting a bunch of fellow artists and art collectors! Make plans to come visit me in booth E56!

Summer starts here! Art on the Lake returns June 13–14 in downtown Excelsior with 150+ artists, food vendors, live music, and family fun. Mark your calendars.
