I'm no longer in business for myself, however, my sons are wanting to start a pressure washing gig. I bought a broken pressure washer last year and they rebuilt it. It runs 3100 psi and can soap. The rates are very rational reasonable. They'll be working mainly Thursday late afternoon and Saturday. I'll transport them to and from and will be there to oversee.

Weaving the first few runs of these vulnerable areas greatly minimizes the potential for wind damage.

I started the practice years ago only in these areas where they terminate to a point due to wind damage in these areas I'd seen on other roofs. I don't want customers losing shingles in the wind. Shortly after that, I began doing all the valleys for a consistent look.

A practice I've done for years for further protection from the wind:

1) a minimal of two nails at the edge of the shingle on the gable end.

2) a vertical shingle nailed with the tar strip upward to adhere these edge shingles vertically to one another instead of just horizontally.

What began as a simple tub and surround swap quickly escalated into replacing half the sub-floor and installing new sheet vinyl flooring. I also had a handful of misc drywall repairs for this wonderful customer. Her husband even told me I could ride his 2004 CBR 1000 when it warms up. Oh, and their dogs quickly became my friends.
