As you have may have seen, the northeast is experiencing an outbreak of Eastern Equine encephalitis (EEE), a virus spread to people by the bite of an infected mosquito. Although rare, EEE is very serious. It can be deadly and cause ongoing neurologic problems for survivors, according to the CDC (www.cdc.gov/eastern-equine-encephalitis/about/index.html).

With this news, we want to remind you that fall mosquito treatments help control the adult population to reduce the number that emerge in the spring.

This is not our work. It’s an example of what not to use for tree support system. This nylon strap is choking this serviceberry and unfortunately has permanent scars now. Tree supports are recommended for only 1-2 years. I suspect this was in the tree for probably 6 to 7 years. Also don’t use nylon straps on trees. Give us a call for this type of work.
