“The Mad Woman’s Attic” - The name given by the homeowner herself.

What started as just a tongue and groove rafter finish, turned into an almost full attic refinish with storage, lighting, and peaceful nooks. I would say we “Cozyfied” it.

Thank you to yet another incredible Spring Glen family for allowing me to make their vision come to life. This has to be my favorite project to date 🔨

Here’s my method of keeping a joint free wall around the window casing on this 1x8 tongue and groove pine project.

A couple of keys left out:
#1 - Making sure everything on both sides are perfect level so the tongue and groove work on the singular top piece!
#2 - Make sure you know your angles on the miters! 😃
#3 - leave yourself a small expansion gap. Although the heat and humidity are high and the wood had time to sit and adapt, still want to leave enough to ensure there’s no buckling.

Cannot wait to show off the finished product!

There aren’t a ton of Ipe decks out there! I’m thrilled to have had the chance to rejuvenate this beauty. One day cleaning, one day sanding, and one day carefully prepping for oil led to one of my favorite projects to date. Thank you to my wonderful Spring Glen clients for this opportunity.

Thank you to my wonderful clients for an opportunity to build these custom built-in bookcases. Cannot wait to see it filled with their incredible book collection!

These bookcases consist of poplar legs, base, shelves, trim, and face frames. Might have to build some for my own house soon 🤔
