We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Skid Steer Operator to join our landscaping team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience operating heavy machinery, particularly skid steers, in various construction environments. This role requires a strong understanding of construction site operations and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented atmosphere. The Skid Steer Operator will be responsible for performing tasks that contribute to the successful completion of projects while ensuring safety and efficiency. As a Crew Member, you must have 5 years of experience working in a landscaping company. you will play a vital role in enhancing the beauty and functionality of outdoor spaces. This position involves working outdoors in various weather conditions and requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a passion for landscape maintenance. Ideal candidates will have experience with hardscape installation, irrigation systems, and general landscaping tasks. . A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are required for this role.

Responsibilities

Operate skid steer loaders and other heavy equipment on construction sites.
Perform various tasks including digging, grading, and moving materials.
Grade for sod installation on new home builds
Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisors immediately.
Landscaping tasks including plantings, mulching, sod installation, tree trimming, hardscape installation
Experience

Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, specifically with skid steers.
MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE in prepping ground for sod installation
Familiarity with bulldozers, graders, and loaders is highly desirable.
Mechanical knowledge to perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance on equipment.
Previous experience working on construction sites is preferred.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
MUST HAVE A VALID DRIVER LICENSE AND CLEAN DRIVING RECORD

As a Crew Member, you must have 5 years of experience working in a landscaping company. you will play a vital role in enhancing the beauty and functionality of outdoor spaces. This position involves working outdoors in various weather conditions and requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a passion for landscape maintenance. Ideal candidates will have experience with hardscape installation, irrigation systems, and general landscaping tasks. . Experience with machine operation (grading) is a plus. A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are required for this role.

Responsibilities

Planting & Pruning: Plant, prune, and trim trees, shrubs, and other flora to enhance curb appeal.
Landscape Maintenance: Maintain lawns, flower beds, and other landscaped areas to high-quality standards.
Irrigation: Install and maintain irrigation systems, ensuring proper function and water efficiency.
Equipment Operation: Operate and perform basic maintenance on mowers, edgers, trimmers, blowers, and other landscaping equipment.
Hardscape : Assist in hardscape projects such as building patios, walkways, and retaining walls.
Residential Projects: Assist with landscape installations for residential home builders, including installing sod, seed, and straw.
Provide tree care services including pruning and removal as needed.
Assist with snow plowing during winter months to ensure safe access for clients.
Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time while maintaining high-quality standards.
Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your team.
Experience

Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a landscaping company.
Familiarity with hardscape installation techniques is a plus.
Mechanical knowledge related to landscaping equipment is beneficial.
Ability to use hand tools effectively and safely.
Experience with irrigation systems is an advantage.
A strong willingness to learn new skills related to gardening and landscape care.
Additional: Experience with machine operation (grading) is highly desirable.
Driver Requirements: Must hold a valid driver's license and have a clean driving record.

Machine operator experience with grading is a plus ! We mostly work with residential home builders installing sod and seed and straw in addition to the tasks listed below.
