CHRISTIAN HOSPITALITY BEGINS AT THE TABLE*
When we think about hospitality, it's easy to picture a beautifully decorated home, an elaborate meal, and everything looking just right.
But I believe biblical hospitality is so much more than that.
It's opening our hearts and making room for others. It's welcoming someone into our home, sharing what we have, listening to their story, and making them feel that they matter.
Romans 12:13 encourages us to practice hospitality. I love that the emphasis is on practicing it — making it a part of how we live, not just something we do for special occasions.
You don't need a perfect home, expensive dishes, or an elaborate menu to show someone kindness.
Sometimes it's a simple meal, a cup of coffee, or an extra chair pulled up to the kitchen table.
After 40 years of cooking and hosting, I've learned that some of the most meaningful moments happen when we stop worrying about perfection and simply enjoy the people sitting across from us.
I believe God has given me a calling to encourage others to make room at their tables, too.
Hospitality isn't about impressing people. It's about loving people well.
