👉 Follow to stay up to date! It should have meaning and remind you of the purpose of your business. For us, the name came from the simplicity of a wooden shutter. One that you find covered

in chippy paint, leaning against the wall at the local barn sale. One that may be overlooked because its beauty has diminished over time. One that you can purchase for $5 because the owner just wants to get rid of it. But it is never just a "wooden shutter." Think of all of the things a "wooden shutter" can become...a bench, a shelf, a snowman, an angel. The possibilities are endless. You can bring that "wooden shutter" back to life and restore it to it's original beauty and more. We wanted this to represent what we do in our business. We take old wooden pallets and bring them to life with our paintings. We find that discounted item that no one wanted and make it into a gorgeous centerpiece. We celebrate the original character of all the things we find. We hope you love what we make here at The Wooden Shutter. It is truly our life's dream to be able to share what we do with all of you. Trying this tortilla soup mix I picked up today from my Pennsylvania trip!

Grabbed a rotisserie chicken on the way home.

Lighthouses have long stood as symbols of hope, guidance, and quiet strength.

This piece was inspired by my grandfather, a Navy veteran, who spent a lifetime collecting and admiring them.

As a frequent visitor of the Outer Banks, NC, I often loved seeing the lighthouse light shine bright over the ocean on dark nights.

I’ve climbed to the top of this one in Havre de Grace and looked out over the powerful Susquehanna River.

I hope whoever collects this piece holds a quiet strength inside of them symbolized by the beauty of a lighthouse and remembers that each time they look at it.💙

I love going there for inspiration!

The colors in these candles called my name!

The special touch of adding twine and a silver starfish to another candle was sweet to see.

I am a sea glass collector and loved the idea that you could purchase a large amount to use as scatter on shelves and tables.

Popsicles are selling quickly again, too! They make the best dough bowl fillers! 🥰
