Dahlias are 100% out of the ground, currently dividing and storing our hearts out! 🙌🏻

The Snapdragons are still a going strong, we don’t have the heart to pull them; so we may take our chances with over wintering! ❄️

Leaving this here to see that we had fresh flowers cut on November 13th! 🤯🥰

Water has been turned off for weeks, we’ve hit 32° for a total of 12 hours over 7 days, have some frost damage; but the dahlias are still a working!

All plants are double labeled, supplies are in place and now we wait. Wait for that killing freeze to end our awesome dahlia season and start digging tubers!

We’ll offer local fall delivery and ship in the spring!

Had to post an actual picture, so it shows up in our memories! Wade LOVES to see how late in the season we make it each year! 💐

We are still bursting with blooms! 🙌🏻
The final push starts now, we finished tagging all the dahlias and pulled our dried flowers for seed collection!
Once frost hits, the real work begins! 💐

If you know Wade you know that his favorite color is red and his favorite dahlia form is ball form. ❤️

Today he spotted (from inside) BQ Paul Jr and he was SO EXCITED! We ran out to cut it and it’s “big brother” Cornel who was blooming right beside.

He said BQ Paul Jr blooming was a great way to end the first day of 2nd grade! 💐

Wade put together and delivered a beautiful bouquet for one of his favorites 3rd birthday parties today! 🥳🥳
He said “Mom, flowers make everyone happy; no matter how old they are!”
He was 100% right today! 💐

Hi! 👋🏻

We are still here, busily growing more dahlias than ever before! 💐
I’m (mom) still not great with social media and 100% still can’t make a reel. 🤪
But that’s not what’s important, Wade still LOVES growing dahlias; that’s what is important! Sister Gem has even gotten the itch and has her favorites now as well!
First deliveries went out today, watch for more to be heading out the door till we freeze!

Between shooting black birds and checking dahlias, Wade wanted a picture with our tallest dahlia plant…BQ York! Wade is right at 4ft tall, for reference!
It’s our first year with it and it’s quickly becoming mom’s favorite bloom! 💐💐

He was soooooo excited to put these together for y’all! 🥰

This morning after breakfast, the kids and I headed outside to cut filler flowers. Both boys were let loose with their “cutters” as Wade calls them and Gemma tagged along with me. We all met at the spool and arranged our flowers. Both boys said “it’s absolutely perfect and so beautiful!” 🥰 This made me think, what people consider perfect?

With dahlias taking off and bouquets about to head out the door; we want to make one thing clear. Our bouquets are never, ever going to be perfect…and we are good with that! Every single flower is touched and loved on, by kids 7yo and younger. We do flowers because of Wade’s love for dahlias and “flower farming” as he calls it! 💐

SO…if you are still with us and appreciate our story and imperfection; we appreciate YOU and look forward to sharing Wade’s love of dahlias with you!

We are restocked .mercantile.in.harrington!! 🙌🏻
Wade was so excited he got to help with this restock, since today was the first day of summer break!
HUGE variety of variegated plants that we propagated over winter and are finally ready to be on the main stage! Wade is so proud to share these with y’all! 🪴
With this restock we also added support systems for the plants that LOVE support! All Monsteras and Philodendrons from here on out will have the added support they need to thrive in your home! More on plant support later! 😉

Now that it’s over, we can talk about it! 🤪
Wade and I were asked to make the paraprofessional gifts for his kindergarten class that would be given at his kindergarten graduation this year! 🥹
When I told him he was soooooo excited to help, since he knew everyone who would be getting one! He decided four would fit perfectly in a pot and away we went!
Everything we put together for clients is special, but this was extra special! We kept to our 80/20 ratio, where 3 of the 4 plants were propagated or grown by the two of us! His excitement for “his people” to see his love of plants was just the best! 🥰🪴
