Day 2: Today was spent putting things back together. Got the ceiling insulated and the new drywall hung. Starting to look better already. Now it is prepping the walls for oil priming, so they can be skim coated. Tomorrow starts the finishing process and making everything look pretty again!

Well, today was the start of probably the biggest water damage repair job I've done, and like any good and self respecting construction project it turned into more than I bargained for! After prepping the area for imminent mess, demo of this ceiling began. And what a lovely surprise when it was discovered that of course above it was all blown in insulation. Several hours later and with very itchy skin and much sweat, the demo was conquered! Next step...begin to put things back together by re-insulating and hanging a new drywall ceiling.

This week's project: repairing and finishing a two car garage. Pulling old peeling tape, retaping and coating.
