It took me a long time to find the right combination of ingredients that 1️⃣ Actually works — many natural deodorants don’t actually leave you dry & BO free, which I believe is the point. We are sweaty people and one application of this lasts all day 2️⃣ No irritation — even minimal essential oils leave me with burning and rashy skin and many recipes are too heavy on the baking soda. I halved the soda, chose arrowroot over corn starch, and added a bit of shea butter. I love the texture & love even more how it feels. I normally avoid shea butter b/c of unethical sourcing, but I know this small jar will last me many years at this rate 3️⃣ Reducing waste — I love reusing these sunscreen tins and avoiding single use applicators. The ingredients used will last me years (only re-buying baking soda for freshness) 4️⃣ Cost — the mounds of deodorant I can make this 😆 compared with store bought will save me heaps of cash in the end. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Ingredients: 4 tsp baking soda, 10 tsp arrowroot powder, 3 tsp shea butter (i have this passion fruit scented I love), 6 tsp coconut oil ✨ mix dry ingredients then add wet until you get a thick & creamy paste. Add more arrowroot if it’s runny & if it’s hot out you can put it in the fridge for a couple hours to help it thicken up. Apply a small dab with your fingers and rub in. Then play all day 💪🏽💪🏽

Our bamboo toothbrush journey began in the early months of 2020, when reusable produce bags were banned and bulk sections were shut down due to Covid-19 and we all sat in the stillness of the unknown. What we know now is that a small change can make a big impact and 5,800 plastic toothbrushes have been replaced by this carbon absorbing renewable grass. Thank you for passing on dangerous extraction from the earth, toxic chemicals for your bodies, and a toothbrush that will outlive it’s purpose by hundreds of years. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
