Service titan and Dialpad
While expensive, works well.
I had a new (never service before client) call and request service. She is out of state. We clarified COD and the technician would collect when complete.
The new client specified she only wanted us to check (1) one ac unit. When the tech arrived on site she changed her decision and agreed for him to service all 3 units as she is purchasing this building.
My tech did everything right. He confirmed his instructions were to only check 1 unit. He clarified by asking that she agree we will be checking all 3 units.
Back to service titan and Dialpad. It’s all recorded.
Upon completion the client instantly said that’s too much money and wanted a deal. It’s after 5 pm the office is closed. Then she refused to pay.
We contacted her and requested payment which she demised then she had her attorney send a letter stating all the reasons we were only going to get paid for 1 unit.
When I sent the invoice I omitted the information for diagnostics on all three but I did include that we checked one unit and found issues. Because I was not paid it’s not my legal responsibility to deliver a product.
I sent a letter stating the client requested the tech to check 3 units and upon payment I would deliver the rest of our product. Since I was not In dispute nor out of integrity I am within my right. I stated to the attorney had all the info recorded on a third party paid service.
The attorney said it was a misunderstanding and that their good client was expecting to uphold her end of the agreement but since I failed to provide the proof payment would not be made.
My response.
Challenge accepted. And then I sent the MP3 recording of their client telling my tech he definitely had to check all 3 units
If you’re a contractor and you want to know if service titan is worth the money. I only have 5 vans running. It is expensive but it does pay for itself
