We had a great time at the KCBS Robertson county BBQ Throwdown, with a stacked field of 35 talented Pitmasters. A huge congratulations to our own Amy Chapel with a perfect 180 score on her dessert. Our cook went really well and we were very proud of what we turned in. Here is where we landed.

Chicken: 10th
Ribs: 12th
Pork: 15th
Dessert: 4th ( Perfect 180)

Overall: 10th

Thanks to everyone on Team VanBand BBQ, it was truly a team effort.

What a great weekend of cooking. We got to see our BBQ Family and meet new Friends. This was our first Boro BBQ Fest and they did not disappoint. From the great people, to the great weather and the fine music, it was a wonderful experience and will be back.

It was a fun weekend cooking at Smoke on The Shores, hanging with the BBQ Family. Our food came out tasting delicious but the judges weren't on our side this year. We made new friends and learned a lot. Thank you for everybody's support. We are looking forward to cooking in Murfreesboro May 1st and 2nd. Keep it sexy out there!
