Grilled Lemon-Herb Chicken Wings with Garlic Aioli
Ingredients:
- 2 pounds of chicken wings, separated and trimmed
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
- 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon of dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon of red pepper flakes (adjust according to your heat preference)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup of mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup of sour cream
- 2 cloves of garlic, finely minced
- 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice (for the aioli)
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt (for the aioli)
- 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper (for the aioli)
- Fresh parsley, finely chopped, for garnishing
Directions:
1. Start by mixing the chicken wings in a large bowl along with the olive oil, lemon juice, oregano, garlic powder, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Make sure the wings are well-coated with the marinade.
2. You can either grill the wings over medium-high heat for about 20-25 minutes, flipping them occasionally, or you can bake them in an oven preheated to 425°F (220°C) for about 30-35 minutes, remembering to flip them halfway through for even cooking.
3. While the wings are cooking, prepare the garlic aioli by whisking together mayonnaise, sour cream, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper in a small bowl until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
4. Once the wings are done, garnish them with chopped parsley and serve them hot alongside the garlic aioli for dipping.
