Spotted these reminders throughout Greensboro today, and they’re worth sharing!

Voting isn’t just about politics. It’s about our everyday lives. The cost of living, education, healthcare, housing, jobs, and the communities we’re raising our families in. The decisions made by elected officials impact all of us.

Whether you’re working, raising a family, running a business, or simply trying to make ends meet, it’s important to understand what’s on the ballot and make your voice heard.

North Carolina Voting Dates:

🗳️ Early Voting: October 15 through October 31, 2026

🗳️ Election Day: Tuesday, November 3, 2026

Find your early voting location and hours at www.ncsbe.gov.

Do your research, make a plan, and get out and VOTE! Your voice matters. 💙

PRAISE REPORT! 🙌🏾 THIS IS WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO!

During High Point Market , Triad Black Business Directory shared an opportunity for small businesses to participate as vendors at no cost. And we love seeing what happens when businesses take advantage of the opportunities we share!

One of those businesses was Terra | K. Rose Wicks and Salts 🌹, a Black-owned business specializing in handmade scented candles, wax melts, and room and linen sprays.

Not only did they have a great experience at Market, but they made a connection that led to an invitation to return for Spring High Point Market! 👏🏾

THIS is what it’s all about!

At The Buy Black Guide, we’re passionate about more than just promoting Black-owned businesses. We want to help create connections, share resources, open doors, and see our businesses FLOURISH!

And sometimes, all it takes is ONE opportunity to get your business in front of the right people.

So here’s your reminder to STAY CONNECTED!

Many of the opportunities we share go to our email subscribers FIRST!

Visit BuyBlackGuide.com to join our newsletter and register your business in our directory. We want you in our ecosystem so you can stay informed about opportunities to expand your reach, increase your brand awareness, and grow your business.

Congratulations to K. Rose Wicks and Salts! We love to see it! 🫶🏾

Your next opportunity could be one connection away.

Why Elm Street? Because before we gathered downtown to celebrate, four Aggies came downtown to demand change.

On February 1, 1960, Ezell Blair Jr. (now Jibreel Khazan), Franklin McCain, Joseph McNeil, and David Richmond took seats at the segregated Woolworth’s lunch counter on South Elm Street and requested service.

Their courage is part of this street’s story. And that history deserves a place in our Homecoming plans. 💙💛

At , we’re making room for connection and joy.

That’s why we have tailgate spaces—so your people have somewhere to gather, share a plate, and catch up.

That’s why we have DJs—because sometimes your song comes on and sitting still is no longer an option. 😂

That’s why we have live entertainment, social tables, and kids’ activities. There’s room to share your talent, pull up a seat, meet somebody new, and bring the next generation along.

And that’s why the street festivities are free. Your budget shouldn’t keep you from feeling the spirit of Homecoming.

Created by Aggies, for Aggies and the Greensboro community. History lives here. Joy belongs here. And so do you.

📍Saturday, October 31 | Noon–6 PM
Downtown Greensboro
Free street festivities. Paid tailgate reservations at AggiesOnElm.com.
