More than an activist. More than a Reverend.
You could use so many BIG adjectives to describe and tbh I dont even have them altogether just yet. One of our powerhouses has moved on to glory.
He fought for civil rights for ALLL but he was absolutely unequivocally about his people's business.
One of the last times I saw the Rev we had lunch at Pappasitos (with Shelley David) of all places lol even as his health declined he WANTED to still keep moving and STILL be involved.
And when I would see him he wanted to know what I had been working on (i better have something to say 😂) and how he could help and who he could connect me with even as his actual voice was declining and you had to stand close to hear him... it was always an honor.
I'm not big on snapping pics (and i look crazy here 🙃) but he wanted to take this one and I wanted to too because I wasnt sure when the last time would be the last time. This day I actually was working on a civil rights project for some of my attorney friends and he was all ears and ready to help.
Today I am reignited to KEEP moving. To keep doing something progressive personally and professionally AND IMPACTFUL for the people.
