THE FRAMING= “RECOLLECTIONS”

I can’t but reminisce of my childhood on a spreadsheet. “How so?”…I ask myself, then reason begin to form. Brushes then paint. Then I begin to color, silently under a 2am sunrise. Memories, flashes of childhood. I remember so few, but many I feel through my bloodstream, my bones and the texture of my hair (if any) lol!

My late father’s hands on my chest, even though severe, but yet tender. I can’t remember if my childhood was punishment, a promise, or a passionate wish that never came true. The characters of my existence, splattering through empty vases, collecting dust on walls and newspapers. I couldn’t read or express myself as modern society will consider proper, until I was 12 or 13 or 14 or even 15 years old (who cares). Fear, excitement, imagination, trust, betrayal, gain, and pain… all started to write a collection of books, and before I knew it, this boy became a MAN, in such’a brief patch of time.

“RECOLLECTIONS” is a body of work that explores my untold childhood memories. Flashes of a past unveiling. Being an artist, growing up as a child was an unusual experiment and so I invite you to join me in this journey as I uncover and unveil to you, what childhood memories for me… felt like. And how it is shaping this sailing Vessel mosplacedchildhood children
