"Each of us will remember what happened that day, and to whom it happened. We'll remember the moment the news came -- where we were and what we were doing." -George W Bush
I'll never forget the helplessness I felt being in NYC on September 11 and not being able to do anything to help, the eerie stillness of Times Square that was so bustling and busy the night before, but mostly I'll remember finally getting home to loving arms and the feeling of a country united. I hope we can do a service to all of those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001 by striving for that feeling of love and community again in their honor.
I hope we can teach our children about all the loss, heroism and so this country never forgets. Here's one way to do that:
Teach the next generation about 9/11. Free resources for educators. Lesson plans, videos & activities. Honor the heroes!
