Been negotiating a claim for almost two months where the carrier initially accepted the claim and two weeks in (the dry out had not even been completed by an inept preferred vendor) cancelled the claim and kicked the homeowner out of their short term housing.
They told the homeowner they would have to finish the dry out on their own dime and then require further investigation to see if they would reinstate the claim.
We finished the dry out. Completed the demo, logged and documented everything and after a month the insurance reversed course and reinstated the claim.
Tried to tell the homeowner that her liming was $5k because of mold. The mold was caused by the preferred vendor restoration company not following proper protocol.
Finally got the homeowner $20k+, ALE and housing so we can go back and do the repairs… stay tuned.
