This home hadn’t been painted in over 20 years, and it showed. Weathered siding, rotted boards, failing caulk, and gaps everywhere.

A project like this takes a lot more than just paint. We spent countless hours scraping, patching, replacing damaged boards, and sealing everything up the right way before a single finish coat went on.

This steel entry door was faded, chalky, and hadn’t been touched in over 20 years. Instead of replacing or painting it, we brought it back to life with a faux finish using gel stain and topcoated it with a durable clear coat to resist moisture and UV

A lot of detail work goes into getting a natural wood look, but the transformation is always worth it

Before you repaint, do this first 👇
A scotch-brite pad, denatured alcohol, and paint thinner can quickly help determine whether the existing paint is latex or oil-based. Why is this important? Knowing what the existing finish is helps you determine the correct paint to use to prevent failure such as peeling, bubbling, or fish eyeing. A quick test now can save a lot of headaches later.
