Greetings and thank you for visiting HB Airplant Design,
My name is Tim, and my partner in HB Airplant Design is my daughter Hannah. I am native Huntington Beach resident of 45-years now raising my beautiful family in this great city. HB Airplant was started through the simple hobby of gardening and the enjoyment of the outdoors. My daughter and I were introduced to Tillandsias several years ago

by our next door neighbor, who had THAT backyard everyone dreams about. Tillandsias are in the bromeliads family of plants and are commonly known as 'Airplants'. They do not require soil to grow, much like the Staghorn Ferns and get their nutrients through their leaves and the air. They really only require occasional watering, sunlight and of course, air. Airplants always fascinated us because of their unique shapes, colors, and simple fact they can grow anywhere, indoors or outdoors, without soil. The versatility of the plants provides endless possibilities for creativity and design. We starting a small collection of plants for ourselves and quickly realized it was difficult to find the plants locally. My daughter Hannah and I started travelling to exotic plant nurseries to stock up. We eventually began making custom planters, handing wood designs, and terrariums as gifts for family and friends. This brought us to the conclusion we enjoyed the time we spent together and were able to produce quality designs with airplants. This venture began as a hobby and has grown into our desire to share our passion and love of airplants locally in the Huntington Beach Market. We strive to offer high quality plants and creative designs at reasonable prices. Thank you for visiting our page and Enjoy!!
