Oh the joys of SKIP SHEETING!! This fun stuff is found under lots of old roof systems, primarily cedar shake. In many cases, like this one, the cedar shake was covered upo by 2 layers of asphalt shingles...so it can often be hard to spot! It requires new decking to be installed over the entire roof. Good thing our roof experts were on the job and were able to prepare for this!

What a doozy! 50% decking needed replaced, structural components needed to be addressed, full replacement and upgrade to architectural shingle AND soffit and fascia upgrade from old mismatched wood to modern, uniform aluminum. What a HUGE change!!
