Happy Sunday, well, it's official... daylily season has begun. I was greeted to some gorgeous blooms this morning. And they really look great this year. I've taken advice from friend Pete Webb (Webb's Daylily Garden) that he received from Curt Hanson (Crintonic Gardens) to water, water, water... and to fertilize 2x a year with Milorganite. It definitely helps big time.
We're open today 12-5. Stop by if need anything for your garden.

Well, I did it again. Forgot to do some posts of the goings on around the nursery this past week. Here are some pictures from this past week. Some of the girls that work here with our 'new' Soules Garden hats on. Our volunteers Mitch and Kennedy surprised us with them last weekend. We are working on getting some to sell too.
Dayliles have started to bloom so it won't be long until we are in full bloom in the beds.
On a related note I cannot begin to tell you how lucky I am to have the crew I have at the nursery Kye, Nora, Emma, Emily, Belle, Foster, Rita, Bill (the Mad Botanist), Julie, Carol and volunteers Mitch and Kennedy. No way any of this happens with out 'them'.

Some photos around the nursery. It has been raining almost everyday so not having rain today was nice. Lots of plants still in the shade house and in the sales area. Color is starting to show up in the garden. Lilies, magnolia, rhododendron, and such. If you need something for your garden I'll be open tomorrow thru Sunday.

Happy Thursday. My idea of posting more often didn't go as planned but I'm going to try again. We still have a great selection of plants even though we had another fantastic weekend last week. Thanks to everyone who came out last week. Sure is fun to have such wonderful people who visit the place. Here are some images of the sales area tables, daylily bed, and such.
We look forward to seeing you tomorrow through Sunday.

Happy Mother's Day post and a 'thank you' to everyone who came out yesterday.
What a super fun day we had yesterday at the nursery. Saw lots of customers and sold lots of plants. Here are some photos I took at the end of the day of interesting things that caught my eye.
Note: Also a HUGE shout out to my crew that help out when we're open, Rita (Fridays), Emma, Emily, Belle, and Foster and now occasionally Kye. And soon (fingers crossed) Nora.
AND... I have two wonderful volunteers Mitch & Kennedy who come on Saturday and bring bread from the Farmers Market.
Without them this probably wouldn't be a thing.
'Big shout out' to the Mad Botanist Bill McKnight (who helps out occasionally too), as it is his birthday today.

Happy Saturday. Well, I did it again. Went a whole week without posting anything. This time of year days just fly by. I really should mention how unbelievable last weekend was. Truly. Between good friends, new fantastic friends, old friends that have been coming for a long time, the Conifer people that were in town, and the new customers I met who found us for the first time... it was really a weekend we will not soon forget. Honestly, we're lucky that way. We have 'time' to chat, learn about 'your' garden, dig something you really want, etc. Bill McKnight (the mad botanist) was here last Saturday and that made it all the more special.
SO>> we have 'lots' of plants still. LOTS, and we will be open today and tomorrow. Stop by if there is something you need for your garden or something for your mum.
I'll try to get to posting more often now as I feel the nursery is in a pretty good place. :)

Happy Friday gentle garden fans. It is currently raining here on the south side of INdy but hopefully it will stop in time to open the nursery at 10. I have not been posting too much as we've been crazy busy getting the place in order. We have peonies this year which hasn't always been a thing in the past. We have ITOH's (Candy Series), and a bunch of herbaceous as well. We also have some Japanese woodland peonies, Paeonia obovata to be exact. The obovata are seedlings but will settle in well once planted. Come see us. :)
Note: pic is helper Julie holding one of the herbaceous blooms. Enormous

We have a fun announcement.
The Mad Botanist (Bill McKnight) will at the nursery Saturday helping answer your garden questions, help in picking out cool plants, and possibly giving out cocktail advice. It's always a great day when he is here as together we can answer most of your gardening questions. We will have Bill's book available (always do), and hopefully JJ, Black Cat & perhaps Piper will make a showing too.
Bill is the most knowledgeable plant person I know and also happens to be my best friend.
Her is a link to his website which you should pay attention to if you like plants and the 'truth' about growing.

First attempt at a video... after 25 years. Too funny. I guess it ends up being a reel. We have been busting our backsides getting the nursery ready for tomorrow and this weekend. Hence, have not done many posts. I'll try to find time to do more.
