AIR Co is looking for a licensed Asbestos Supervisor to lead one of our field crews.

Essential Function:
Supervises and oversees field personnel assigned to a project to ensure the safe completion of the project within the allotted timeframe. The project supervisor must also ensure compliance with corporate policies as well as applicable safety and environmental regulations.

• Supervises field personnel by assigning tasks, and ensuring completion of assigned tasks to meet the goals of the project.
• Assess safety requirements of project and ensure compliance with applicable safety requirements.
• Complete accurate daily job logs in a timely manner.
• Complete accurate time sheet for employees under your supervision.
• Load company truck with equipment and supplies necessary to complete assigned project
• Removes asbestos from ceilings, walls, floors, beams, boilers, tanks, pipes and other structures, following hazardous waste handling guidelines.
• Erects containment area using plastic sheeting and duct tape.

Must have:
Valid Asbestos Project Supervisor license issued by the Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM)
Valid Indiana Driver’s License

It’s not unusual for a client to tell us before an inspection, “there’s no asbestos here.” While that may be true, many people are shocked at where asbestos con be found.

Years ago, we inspected an old Pullman Train Car so it could be renovated. We found asbestos all over it.

Nearly all manufactured materials are suspect asbestos containing materials. The only way to be certain is to have the material analyzed at a laboratory. Yet, sometimes you can get lucky, and the material literally says it contains asbestos.
