You are 100% incorrect they are not made from starches they are typically made from polymers. They’re currently are no ASTM tested Soil or marine biodegradable glues on the market used in cardboard boxes. There are a few that make claims but they show no testing methodology for compostability. Testing methods and time frames and claims matter.. You are contaminating soils. how do I know? I have a patent for using cardboard boxes to contain mulch that open up like a puzzle board and click together my Plastic chemist, forbid me to go forward with it because all of the glues are plastics that do not biodegrade. Disintegration is only the first step of biodegradation. If you go out and pull soils and send them to a lab, they will find mountains of micro plastics and nano plastics contaminating that soil . It’s a really really bad idea to do as you are telling people to do..
