Happy Father’s Day to Rick and Mike! They aren't related to each other, but they keep this company running like a well-oiled machine. Thanks for bringing that classic "dad wisdom," dedication, and hard work to the team every single day. We’d be lost without you two!

Thrifting vs. Antiquing: Key Differences and Why Both Matter

Thrifting and antiquing are both about finding secondhand treasures, but they differ in focus, age of items, and shopping style.

Thrifting
Thrifting is the hunting for affordable, often modern or vintage items in places like thrift stores, charity shops, and resale outlets. Items can range from brand-new to decades-old, and you might find everything from household goods to mid-century lamps.

Antiquing
Antiquing is curated shopping for older items, typically 20 to 100+ years old, in antique shops, malls, or with specialized dealers. These pieces are often tied to specific historical periods (e.g., Victorian, Art Deco) and may have known makers or provenance.

Why Many Do Both; Many vintage lovers combine both:
-Thrifting for hidden gems, budget-friendly pieces, and inspiration.
-Antiquing for statement items with proven history and value.

Together, they create a complete vintage lifestyle — affordable finds paired with timeless, meaningful pieces

Proof that "trust the process" really just means "survive the chaos." 😅✨

If you think this checkout counter came together seamlessly... I have a hilarious story about a Rick and counter assembly, that says otherwise.
Mistakes were made. Lessons were learned. But man, the final result was so worth the headache!
Proud of this one, even if it tried to test his patience. 🎨🔨

The table that was the inspiration, the vision started with forgotten lumber left in the basement of our home. A lost pallet pulled from a pile of “junk” that still had a story to tell.

That first piece of reclaimed furniture wasn’t just a project — it was a reminder that beauty can be reborn, that character comes from time, and that craftsmanship can honor the past while creating something new.

Today, that spark has grown into a full furniture business built on purpose, sustainability, and soul. Here’s to the piece that started it all — and to many more stories waiting to be reclaimed.
