We had a busy week of special orders from a custom sign and margarita boards to a corn hole board set for a lucky dad out there! While we have stayed busy in the shop we are headed to Florida for a MUCH needed mini vacation! We will be back in the shop on Monday! Until then watch for some sunset photos… I haven’t seen much of one since our move to GA and my heart is ready for it! ❤️.

Join me in wishing my husband Scott Perkins a very Happy Birthday today! He is my rock and best friend and I could not ask for anyone better to do this life with and to have help behind the scenes to make Basil and Barley Wood Co what it is becoming today! He is one of the hardest working and caring men I know. I am so blessed to call him my husband. If you have had the pleasure of meeting him you know his heart and what an amazing man he truly is! ✨Last week I made a commitment to myself to get back to a healthy weight and mindset. The last few years have been hard and stressful with lots of unknowns and lots of new life experiences and business dealings. It has taken a toll on my mind, body and soul but making this commitment ends all of that! Today is day 5 of eating to fuel my body the right way and day 3 of getting my body moving! I do not want to rely on meds of any kind to get me to where I want to be. (I know many that that has helped though!) My body knows what it needs to do, it just needs a little push and a little reminder, okay currently a BIG push and reminder 😂 Ensuring that I am healthier in mind, body and soul will most definitely take my business to a different level as well. I won’t be struggling through the craft fairs and markets just to get to the end of it, I won’t have the pain that I currently have from all of the inflammation and I won’t be exhausted from the extra weight I have been carrying along with the brain fog. It will enable me to think more clearly, have more energy, more drive and most of all more respect for myself as a whole! ❤️ Do you have a health goal that you are working towards?? I have done this so many times in my life and then fall off the band wagon. 🤦‍♀️ Who else can relate? How can I encourage you to achieve your goals? Drop a comment and let’s do this TOGETHER! 💪
