Thank you to Chandler and Matt Franklin for using Thomas Hyche Painting Services! ✅

- All of the trim was originally oil-based paint, and over the years, people painted over it using latex-based paint. This caused it to peel.

- We sanded it all down, and used Benjamin Moore’s Advanced Water Alkyd paint in a satin finish. This product goes on like a latex-base but hardens like an oil-base and leaves a smooth finish.

➡️ This job was to repair what a paint crew did incorrectly this past June. They caulked and stained pressure treated window trim without letting the wood trim dry out properly.
➡️ Pressure treated wood needs at least 2 months to dry out before applying any product. The siding against the wood trim developed cracks, and water was slipping in around the windows.
➡️ We came in and cut out caulk, recaulked, and then restained.
